Shrieking Violet is the Manchester zine. It is consistently brilliant and has, at the time of writing this description, been going for five years. This 11th issue from 2010 (I think!) with the theme of The Media includes pieces on the Daily Express Building in Manchester, zines, the Salford Star and a recipe for “banana soup” that sounds absolutely horrific.
