Zine Library Temporary Closure and Move

Hello! Nexus Art Café is undergoing a bit of a facelift at the moment. As part of the redevelopment work, they’re creating an accessible entrance and toilets. This will require the zine library to move out of its current home as we’re currently sitting where the new toilet block is going to be.

While this means that the zine library will be closed temporarily, we’ll be back soon with a built-for-purpose space near the entrance of the café. Once we’re back open we’ll have really good things like natural light (!), loads of shelving and some comfortable seating. Basically it’s going to be loads better than where we are now.

The library will be closed from January 22nd 2018 but we’ll start decanting the zine library collection a bit before then, probably, so don’t be surprised if there are less zines on the shelves when you visit in the meantime. We’re hoping we’ll be able to put together a mini zine library display somewhere in the café while we’re closed. More info on that and a rough estimate for when our new space will be open to the public when we have it.

We’re really excited about the move and, as ever, are extremely grateful to Nexus for continuing to let us have the space and looking after us. Even when the zine library is closed, do still pop in for a cup of tea and/or a slice of cake.
