If you’re going to be in London on the 31st of January you will almost definitely want to pop over to DIY Space 4 London for Weirdo Zine Fest. It’s a new zine fest privileging radical and marginalised voices and, if that’s not enough to convince you of its worth, here are some other reasons why you should go:
– there’s going to be loads of cool people selling zines and talking about interesting stuff
– by loads I mean over 30(!) different stalls
– and it’s not quantity over quality either, people like Vampire Sushi distro, Apples to Zines, Cool Schmool, Hard Femme and Sugar Paper are gonna be there (plus lots of other ace people)
– if you pop over to Mythologising Me and Synchronise Witches’ tables you’ll be able to buy some very nice Salford Zine Library stuff* from our very own Ingrid and Cherry.
They’ll also be happy to chat to you about the zine library, take donations for the collection and drop tantalising teasers about this year’s Northwest Zinefest that we’re currently in the process of organising.
Have a look at the Facebook event page to get much more information about the cool things that are happening on the day.
*By the way, all profits from selling this stuff goes towards paying for library events and general upkeep.
