We’re extremely pleased to announce that we’ll be taking part in this year’s Sounds From the Other City festival on May 1st 2016. Aside from all the great bands on the lineup this year (Martha, Tacocat, Joey Fourr, Queer’d Science, Irma Vep, Cowtown etc.) you’ll also be able to recharge your batteries with the help of your Salford Zine Library pals.
We’re taking over the Deli Lama Cafe, setting up a cosy zine reading room so you can have something to eat and flick through some of our collection between bands. We’ve also got some of our favourite zinesters to come and talk to you for a bit too. Expect to hear words from these people:
And maybe a couple more people too, we’re not sure yet. Each person will probably be talking/reading/performing for about 10-15 minutes and we think we’re gonna try and bunch the lineup into the early afternoon. Timings and stuff will be announced closer to the date.
We’re dead excited to be involved and it’d be lovely to see you there. Wristbands are still available at a very reasonable £20 so pop over to the Sounds From the Other City website, have a look at the lineup and grab yourself a ticket.
